Yo-Yo related: November 2008 Archives

I fell in love with these adorable Happy Hollow Designs patterns at Houston Quilt Market...so of course I purchased the available shop samples (below) and ordered patterns.

Brighten up any room for the holidays -- hang on your wall or dress up a table. It's wonderful how these vintage/whimsical Santas bring out the child in all of us.

I was simply smitten with the Oodles of Poodles Yo-Yo Poodle Quilt in the Quilt Country Booth at Quilt Market.

Yes, I am a huge dog lover (though not necessarily the biggest fan of poodles).  Still...this quilt was absolutely adorable. I just wanted to grab it and bring it home with me to curl up in a big comfy recliner with a good book on a chilly day!  I imagine petting the poodles as I read...perfect!

The Oodles of Poodles quilt pattern by Elizabeth Creel for Quilt Country is available at SewThankful.com, but the pattern cover image does not do justice to the quilt.  So, I snapped a couple pictures (with permission) to share with you.

Imagine my surprise and thrill to find several pictures of yo-yo ornaments (and variations) posted on the HGTV forum board -- these pretty ornaments were made using my free Yo-Yo Orny pattern .  I was especially tickled because the poster does provide credit to my pattern.  Click here to take a look at these pretty examples...

Fabric yo-yo ornaments are sew pretty on your tree...but they also make beautiful embellishments to gift wrapping.

The web/nest and spiders were a delight to trick-or-treaters!
