I admit it, I love, love, LOVE Shiva Paintstiks.  I mean, what's not to love about color and texture on fabric?  The options are virtually endless!  And the new Bosa Nova Bag pattern samples were exquisite!

One of my favorite stops at Quilt Market was the Taylor Made Designs booth.  Cindy is always delightful and her designs are feminine & refreshing.  Here are a few pics for you:

Scrap-bags owner and designer, Jamie Kalvestran announced yesterday:

We have received so many requests for permission to make and sell our bags. Or make bags for fund raisers, craft fairs, bazaars etc. In the past we have had to say "No" for legal reasons. We are excited at the possibility of being able to say "Yes"!

We have discussed the idea of giving crafters and sewers permission to make and distribute items using our patterns with our IP Attorney. We are happy to say that we have arrived at a process that gives approval to qualified applicants and protects our trademark and copyrights at the same time.

Update!!  I received the below email notice/media release last night (Friday, March 1, 2008) through the Fabric Shop Network:

* * *
Last fall, a crew from the CBS Sunday Morning national television program visited International Quilt Festival Houston to film and conduct interviews for a report on contemporary quilting in the U.S.

We have received word from the network that-barring breaking news-the segment will air on the show this Sunday morning, March 16.

The segment is expected to feature scenes from the floor and events at Festival, interviews with Festival director Karey Bresenhan and award-winning quilters from the International Quilt Association Judged Show, and a visit to Festival faculty member Ricky Tims' studio in Colorado.

We urge everyone to tune in and enjoy this national exposure for the art of quilting! So set your alarms for CBS Sunday Morning!
