Drawstring Bags sewing pattern from Suzanna's Art House More Details
The Drawstring Bags sewing pattern from Suzanna's Art House offers you two sizes of drawstring bags to choose from:
-- Large: 14"x14"x6"
-- Medium size: 10"x10"x5".
The large bag, 14"x14"x6" holds a LOT. Stuff it full of quilting projects, supplies, and fabrics to take to your sewing class or retreat. It also makes a great beach bag to hold all your valuables safe from the sand. Makes a great carry on for travel or stylish grocery bag. The drawstring top closes tight to protect and holds what's inside.
The medium bag is great to carry projects to class or even use as a purse or knitting bag.
Both bag sizes are fully lined with no raw seams inside or out. You can tuck the top drawstring closure part down into the bag if you want an open top bag. The bags are made with two stabilizers, so the bag has structure. They are custom designer looking bags.
The pattern provides easy to follow written directions and has 14 diagrams to follow along with the written directions. The pattern has drawings for each step in the pattern.
The fabric is what makes the bags -- whether you like modern fabric or country primitive fabric, they all look great.
The pattern has directions to making the fabric handles or use cotton webbing handles. It also has cotton cording to cinch the top of the bags closed.
The medium bag can be sewn with 4 fat quarters or 1/4- yard cuts and the lining can be 2 fat quarters or 1/2- yard cut along with the stabilizers. The larger kit bag is the same, but you just need a little more than a fat quarter for the top closer fabric. 10" WOF or 3/8-yard cut.
The pattern is fast and easy and once you make one you are going to want to make them in both sizes.
Printed Paper Pattern
