"The mission of the Quilts of Valor Foundation is to cover
ALL war wounded and injured servicemembers and veterans from the War on
Terror..."
There are many sewing and quilting groups across the USA that get together regularly to make/donate quilts to the QOV Foundation for distribution to wounded veterans.
The work of this group is amazing! To learn more about it, click here.
That's
my new motto and my challenge to you for this New Year.
This is not about being the biggest or the best or winning contests or doing the "most" (necessarily).
Be SEW Great in 2008 is about whatever you choose "being great" to mean.
For me it is about honestly being the best I can be at the things I choose to do in 2008. For me that means slowing down, being deliberate, focusing on the moment and treasuring it. It means telling myself I'm worth the effort until I believe it in action.
Yes, there are some yucky things in life that we must do (and wouldn't choose if it were up to us, that's life). But, life is fleeting and (for the most part) we have SEW much to be thankful for.
Let's enjoy life and Be SEW GREAT in 2008.
